Nuclear diffuse
This is the most common localisation of nuclear gene-trap proteins (Sutherland et al., 2001)(see Statistics) [1]. Nuclear diffuse proteins are found throughout the nucleoplasm but are generally excluded from nucleoli. Many transcription factors have a nuclear diffuse localisation and the largest class of nuclear diffuse proteins are the C2H2 zinc finger proteins (e.g. ES510), which account for more than 12% of all nuclear diffuse gene-trap proteins (Sutherland et al., 2001)[1].

Nuclear Diffuse Localisation of gene-trap protein F9/28A5
The gene-trap protein F9/28A5 contains the majority of the PasG gene, a SNF-2 like protein transcription factor.
